JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) ist die japanische Raumfahrtagentur. Sie entstand im Oktober 2003 aus ihrer Vorgängerorganisation NASDA (National Space Development Agency) sowie NAL (National Aerospace Laboratory) und ISAS (Institute of Space and Astronautical Science).
