IEC-625-Bus
Der IEC-625-Bus ist die internationale Normbezeichnung für einen parallelen Datenbus vorrangig für Meßgeräte und Drucker mit bis zu 15 anschliessbaren Geräten.Das amerikanische Pendant dazu ist IEEE-488, an deren Entwicklung massgeblich die (Meßgeräte-)Firma Hewlett-Packard beteiligt war.
Die Firma Commodore setzte diesen Bus in Ihrer CBM-Computerreihe als Geräteschnittstelle ein.
Der Bus wurde auch als IEC-Bus bekannt.
Die Steckverbindungen sind je nach Norm unterschiedlich.
- Der IEC-625-Bus verwendet 25-polige D-Sub-Stecker.
- IEEE-488 verwendet 24-polige Centronics-Stecker, vielfach als Stecker-Buchse Kombination an beiden Kabelenden ausgeführt. Kontaktbelegung:

Commodore führte die Steckverbindung am Computer vielfach als kostengünstge, aber unpraktische Platinensteckverbindung aus.
