United Nations Industrial Development Organization
Die UNIDO (United Nations Industrial Developement Organization) ist eine Sonderorganisation der UNO mit dem Ziel die industrielle Entwicklung in Entwicklungsländern und Reformstaaten nachhaltig zu fördern.Die UNIDO wurde 1966 gegründet, das Hauptquartier befindet sich im VIC in Wien. Derzeit (August 2003) hat die Organisation 171 Mitgliedsstaaten.
